No post, blog or website content should be considered medical advice and the information I provide is not intended to be a substitute for regular medical care. Always consult a licensed medical professional before trying any new herb or remedy mentioned on this website or in one of my classes. This is particularly important if you take pharmaceutical drugs (as some of them may interact with herbs) or if you are pregnant or nursing.

The content on this website and in my classes (online/in-person) is for educational purposes only. Although my intention is to provide useful and accurate information, you are responsible for researching and verifying information before relying on it. I do not diagnose or treat health conditions, nor prescribe medicines, as I cannot do so legally since I am not a licensed medical professional. However, I do make recommendations and suggestions regarding the traditional use of medicinal herbs for various health complaints. And, my clinical experiences over the last fifteen years have more than confirmed my deeply held belief that herbal medicines are extremely safe and effective when used with good judgement and common sense.

Working with a certified herbalist AND your licensed healthcare provider along with being mindful about dosages and time taken when taking herbs internally are key. As with conventional medicine, herbal medicine is vast and complex. It is possible for a small percentage of people to have unexpected reactions to herbal remedies. While most herbs act like and are classified as foods, some stronger herbs can cause imbalance (ranging from gastric upset to full blown allergy) if dosing amount and time instructions are not followed. It must also be noted that it’s possible for anyone to experience a reaction or intolerance to any substance.

Please remember that you are responsible for your own health. If you elect to apply any recommendation mentioned on this site, you do so at your own risk, and Heather’s Herbals accepts no liability relating to or arising from your activities, as I cannot predict with 100% accuracy how a remedy will work for you. Again, always conduct your own research and refer to your trusted medical care providers for questions about your health.
