My path as an herbalist began in earnest following a powerful experience with Calendula. Planting, nurturing, and harvesting this flower and then turning it into medicine awakened my curiosity of the ancient ways of the “green world”.
Plants heal and nurture us so profoundly because we are made of the same stuff, we have evolved together. Our bodies easily recognize and assimilate their nourishment for healing on all levels. They serve as healers, helpers and igniters of transformation.
I feel Robin Rose Bennett, wise woman herbalist, described our healing green allies best when she wrote: “they guide us to be who we came here to be, both individually and as a species, and to share our gifts of beauty freely, for the benefit of all, as they do.”
My calling is to serve people and plants and facilitate synergistic matches between the two.
